Garrison Composi-Tight 3D Fusion Tall Ring Refill, Orange is used for adapting sectional matrix bands and creating temporary tooth separation during posterior Class II composite restorations. The tall orange ring is intended for typical molars, taller posterior teeth, and restorative situations where additional vertical clearance is useful, and its Soft-Face silicone tips are shaped to conform closely against the matrix band and tooth surface, helping support proximal contour while reducing excess restorative material at the margins.
Each pack contains 2 rings, measuring 11.85mm in height at the tallest point, 23.5mm in length, and 24.3mm in width at the widest point, constructed from stainless steel, PEEK, and silicone.
Orange color coding distinguishes this tall ring from the blue short ring and green wide preparation ring in the same system. Dental offices ordering matrix rings from their supplier can buy this tall ring to match routine molar restorations, reserving the shorter ring for premolars and short-crown cases.
During placement, a sectional matrix band is positioned around the prepared tooth and stabilized with a wedge, and the tall ring is placed over the wedge so it applies separation force while the Soft-Face silicone tips press the matrix band closely against the tooth. Built-in marginal ridge anatomy in the silicone tips helps the ring follow posterior contours and support matrix adaptation near the proximal and gingival margins.
Tru-Stack technology allows the tall orange ring to be positioned over the short blue ring when two rings are needed for MOD or multiple-tooth restorations, while the design provides improved separating force compared with earlier Composi-Tight ring generations.
