Garrison Composi-Tight 3D Fusion Interproximal Wedge, Extra Small, Yellow, Bulk Refill is used for securing the sectional matrix band at the cervical margin during Class II posterior composite restorations in the tightest interproximal spaces encountered in clinical practice. The Extra Small size fits through restricted gingival embrasure anatomies that a larger wedge cannot navigate without traumatizing the interdental papilla, including pediatric posterior teeth, mandibular posterior teeth with narrow contacts, and anterior Class III restorations, making it the smallest and most restrictive-access option in the four-size Composi-Tight 3D Fusion Wedge range. This Bulk Refill pack contains 100 wedges, color-coded yellow.

Dental offices ordering interproximal wedges from their supplier can buy this Extra Small size specifically for pediatric cases and the narrowest embrasures where even the next size up would be too large. The Soft-Face design fuses a soft rubberized over-mold to a firm plastic core, and in this smaller size the ability to conform to root surface irregularities is especially useful, since the narrow spaces where this wedge is needed often involve more complex root anatomy, including concavities and developmental depressions. Retentive fins along the gingival edges fold down smoothly during insertion through the tight embrasure and spring back once the wedge clears the contact point, locking it against gingival displacement during composite condensation. In these narrow spaces, secure retention matters more than with wider wedges, since limited clearance leaves less room for the wedge to hold position through fit alone.

A universal gripping block molded into the wedge body accepts cotton pliers, hemostats, or pin tweezers, letting the clinician use whichever instrument is available at the chair.
