GC America G-CEM Resin Cement, Capsule Refill Pack, Translucent is used for cementing ceramic, zirconia, metal, and composite crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, and posts. During crown seating, a clinician needs cement that permits full seating and helps preserve the look of a translucent restoration.

The clear-toned shade limits the effect of the cement line at visible margins. Its self-adhesive formula bonds to prepared tooth structure, while dual curing aids setting where light access is low. Premeasured capsules support a consistent chairside mix for seating and cleanup.

The clinician still needs to check fit, keep the field clean, and prepare each substrate as directed. Shade selection also matters when thin restorations transmit light. Each pack contains 50 premeasured G-CEM resin cement capsules in Translucent shade, each with 0.35 g of powder and 0.15 g of liquid, or approximately 500 mg total. Each capsule produces at least 0.17 mL of mixed cement.

The dual-cure, self-adhesive material requires a compatible capsule mixer and applicator. Elongation tips and the applicator are not included. The cement works through adhesive resin chemistry that wets prepared enamel and dentin before setting into a thin luting layer. Functional monomers support adhesion to suitable restorative substrates, while the chemical cure allows setting where light cannot penetrate.

After capsule activation, mechanical mixing combines the components into a dispensable cement for seating the restoration. Its hydrophilic character aids initial surface contact, with increasing water resistance as the material cures. The translucent shade is suited to cases where cement color should have limited influence on the restoration's appearance, although the underlying tooth and ceramic thickness still affect the result.

A brief tack cure can assist removal of excess cement at the margins. For post placement, a compatible elongation tip may be used. Follow specified restoration pretreatment, working and curing times, and check the margins for retained cement.
