Sunstar Butler GUM Go-Betweens Proxabrush Cleaners, Moderate, Red is used for removing plaque and food debris from interdental spaces that may be missed by toothbrushing alone. The Moderate tapered brush is designed for medium embrasure spaces, providing a more structured cleaning option than string floss, and its triangular bristles increase contact with proximal tooth surfaces around natural teeth, restorations, orthodontic appliances, implants, and bridges when the selected brush fits without forcing. Each box contains 36 cleaners, each with a tapered brush profile, flexible rubberized handle, bendable neck, protective cap, and nylon-coated wire designed to clean around dental devices without scratching surfaces or creating galvanic shock.

Red color coding distinguishes the Moderate size from other Go-Betweens sizes at a glance. Practices recommending interdental brushes from a dental supplier often keep several sizes on hand, since fit depends on individual embrasure spacing and patients may need different sizes across their dentition. The brush works by guiding the bristled section gently through an appropriately sized interdental space and moving it back and forth to disrupt plaque along proximal surfaces. The triangular bristle shape provides broader surface contact than conventional round bristles, and Sunstar reports this geometry removes up to 25% more plaque under its referenced test conditions.

The bendable neck adjusts for improved access to posterior teeth, while the coated wire supports careful cleaning around crowns, bridges, implants, and orthodontic components, and the antibacterial bristles help the brush stay cleaner between uses when rinsed and stored properly.
