Kerr Dental Maxcem Elite Resin Cement, Individual Shade Refill, Clear is used for cementing anterior and posterior composite, ceramic, PFM, metal, CAD/CAM, and zirconia-based restorations, as well as crown-to-implant cementation, giving clinicians a self-etch, self-adhesive resin cement with a self-cure mechanism. When a clinician is cementing a translucent all-ceramic crown and wants a cement shade that keeps the optical properties of the ceramic, the clear shade preserves that translucency.
The cement sets completely without light and needs no etch, primer, or adhesive.
Each pack contains 2 dual-barrel syringes at 5 g each, in clear shade, with 8 regular 4:1 automix tips, 8 wide 4:1 automix tips, and 8 intraoral tips, plus directions for use. The refill holds the cement and tips only, and the pack is a single-shade refill in clear. The cement needs no hand mixing and no refrigeration.
It is radiopaque for follow-up on radiographs, and bond strengths range from 22 to 36 MPa across a broad range of restorative substrates.
The cement combines its two pastes in the automix tip as the syringe is pressed, so it is dispensed directly into the restoration without hand mixing, a triturator, or other tools. The self-cure mechanism lets the material set up completely in the absence of light or a tack cure, which suits restorations that block light. The advanced resin matrix and filler system give strong contact with the tooth surface and long-term stability, and the thixotropic consistency supports smooth placement and clean removal of excess cement.
The intraoral tips deliver the cement into the preparation, and the wide and regular automix tips fit the syringe for general cementation. The cement can be used as a stand-alone cement or with a universal bonding agent. One-peel cleanup makes excess cement easy to remove, and the color stability of the cement supports use under esthetic restorations anywhere in the mouth.
