Kerr Dental NX3 Universal Adhesive Resin Cement, Dual-Cure Refill, Clear is used for permanent cementation of indirect restorations, including veneers, crowns, bridges, inlays, and onlays, giving clinicians a universal, dual-cure resin cement with an amine-free initiator chemistry. When a clinician is cementing a thin veneer and wants a cement shade that does not compromise the translucency of the restoration, the clear shade preserves the optical properties of the ceramic.
The cement is a permanent adhesive resin cement for all indirect applications, and it is used for the final seating of the restoration.
Each pack contains 1 automix syringe at 5 g, in clear shade. The cement is dual-cure, and the automix syringe eliminates hand mixing. The cement needs no separate dual-cure activator, and it is used with either a self-etch or a total-etch bonding protocol.
NX3, the Nexus Third Generation system, is a permanent resin cement with innovative chemistry for esthetics, adhesion, and versatility, and the 5 g syringe dispenses precisely and consistently.
The cement uses Kerr?s proprietary amine-free initiator system and an optimized resin matrix, which give long-term color stability and esthetics in both dual-cure and light-cure use. It bonds well to dentin, enamel, CAD/CAM blocks, ceramic, porcelain, resin, and metal, so a single cement covers the range of restorative materials. The dual-cure automix syringe delivers a consistent mix with each dispensing, with no hand mixing.
The dual-cure chemistry sets by light where light reaches and by self-cure where it does not, and the cement gels before it sets, so excess cement cleans up easily in the gel state. Because the initiator is amine-free, the clear shade stays clear over time, which keeps a thin veneer looking natural. Color stability matters most for veneers and anterior crowns because the cement line is visible at the margin.
