Ivoclar Vivadent OptraGate 3D Retractor, Latex-Free, Refill, Adult Small, White is used for retracting the lips and cheeks to improve access, visibility, and relative isolation during dental procedures. The Adult Small size is intended for smaller adult oral openings than the Regular version while maintaining the same flexible retraction concept, and its latex-free construction and three-dimensional elasticity allow the retractor to adapt around the mouth while permitting jaw movement during treatment.
Each pack contains 80 retractors in the Adult Small size.
Dental offices ordering lip and cheek retractors from their supplier can buy this Small size as part of a broader system that also includes Regular and Junior options, allowing dental teams to select whichever configuration best fits the patient and procedure. Soft, flexible material and recesses for the upper and lower lip frenulum support comfortable positioning, and the latex-free material supports practices that prefer non-latex clinical accessories, while the soft construction helps reduce pressure on surrounding soft tissues during longer appointments.
OptraGate 3D works through circumoral retraction that distributes outward tension around the lips and cheeks. Its three-dimensional flexibility allows the retractor to adapt as the patient opens or adjusts the jaw, helping maintain access without the rigidity of conventional cheek retractors.
The integrated frenulum recesses help the device seat naturally around the upper and lower lip attachments, and by holding mobile soft tissues away from the working field, the retractor supports relative isolation and helps improve access to both anterior and posterior teeth. The flexible design also allows clinicians to maintain a more manageable treatment field during procedures that benefit from consistent soft-tissue displacement, while still permitting the patient to open and close naturally throughout treatment without the device shifting out of position or requiring readjustment by the assistant, which can otherwise interrupt the clinical workflow during longer restorative or preventive appointments.
