Kuraray Panavia SA Cement Universal, Automix Refill, Translucent is used for cementing crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, posts, and adhesion bridges, giving clinicians a dual-cure, self-adhesive resin cement in an automix syringe, in a translucent shade. When a clinician is cementing a thin veneer or a lithium disilicate restoration and wants a cement that adds as little shade influence as possible, the translucent paste leaves the optical properties of the restoration intact.
The cement bonds without a separate primer or silane.
Each pack contains 1 automix syringe of Paste A and Paste B at 8.2 g (4.6 mL), with 20 mixing tips, in translucent shade. The cement is dual-cure, self-adhesive, self-etching, fluoride-releasing, and radiopaque. A mixing tip or an endo tip is fitted to the syringe for dispensing, and the cement is stored at room temperature.
Each syringe is a single automix unit, and a fresh mixing tip goes on for each placement.
The cement relies on the LCSi monomer, a silane coupling agent built into the paste, which gives a strong, durable chemical bond to porcelain, lithium disilicate, and composite resin without a separate primer step. The original MDP monomer in the same paste reacts chemically with zirconia, dentin, enamel, and metal, so one formula covers a broad range of substrates. The automix syringe delivers Paste A and Paste B in a fixed proportion through the mixing tip, so no manual mixing is needed.
Excess cement is removed after a brief tack cure, and the gum-friendly removal keeps the margins clean, which suits lithium disilicate cementation. The dual-cure chemistry sets the cement under light and by self-cure in areas that light does not reach, and the translucent shade is the one made for esthetic restorations such as veneers. The cement is anaerobic, so it cures slowly in open air and sets fully under the restoration.
