Shofu Dental Super-Snap Disk Replacements, Polishing, CA, Double-Sided Grit, Fine, Green is used for fine polishing of microfilled and hybrid composite restorations after earlier contouring and finishing steps. The green disk represents the Fine stage in the Super-Snap sequence and uses double-sided aluminum oxide abrasive to refine restorative surfaces before the Super Fine red stage when additional gloss is desired, and its completely flat polishing surface, flexible disk construction, and metal-free center support controlled contact across restorative contours while helping clinicians access proximal and facial areas.
Each pack contains 50 disks in the standard 12mm size, green, Fine grit, and double-sided with aluminum oxide abrasive on both working surfaces.
Dental offices ordering polishing disk replacements from their supplier can buy this Fine grade to distinguish it from the coarser black and violet stages and the finer red Super Fine stage, since the disks are designed for use with a compatible Super-Snap contra-angle mandrel rather than being supplied with an integrated shank.
Super-Snap uses a progressive finishing and polishing sequence based on color-coded abrasive grades. Black disks provide coarse contouring, violet disks provide medium finishing, green disks provide Fine polishing, and red disks provide Super Fine polishing. The L501 green disk uses aluminum oxide rather than the silicon carbide abrasive used in the coarser stages, and because abrasive is present on both sides, clinicians can use either disk face according to access and restoration orientation.
The disk has no metal center, which supports a smooth working surface and reduces the risk of exposing metal near the restoration, while its flexible construction allows the polishing disk to follow curved composite contours while maintaining controlled surface contact throughout the finishing sequence.
