Young Dental Lorvic Surgical Milk, 1 Gallon is used for lubricating and protecting reusable dental instruments before sterilization. The concentrated water-based formula is designed to help inhibit rust while maintaining smooth movement in hinged instruments such as forceps, scissors, pliers, and other jointed devices, and its odor-free, non-toxic formulation supports professional instrument-maintenance workflows without leaving the heavy feel associated with petroleum-based lubricants. Each bottle contains 1 gallon (approximately 3.79 liters) of concentrated formula, compatible with steam, dry heat, and chemical vapor sterilization systems.

Dental offices ordering instrument lubricants from their supplier can buy this gallon size for practices that process hinged instruments on a regular basis, since the concentrated format supports a consistent instrument-maintenance routine without frequent reordering. Lorvic Surgical Milk works by leaving a thin lubricating and corrosion-inhibiting film on compatible instruments before they enter the sterilization cycle. The formula is steam penetrable and steam sterilizable, allowing the protective layer to remain compatible with professional reprocessing rather than creating a barrier to sterilization. This combination of lubrication and corrosion inhibition is especially relevant for hinged instruments, where joints and moving surfaces can become stiff or show wear over time if not maintained appropriately, and the water-based composition supports instrument movement without relying on an oily petroleum coating while helping preserve surface finish and reduce the appearance of rust or dulling.
